The Lived Experience of a Nurse Practitioner
who Transitions Directly from an RN Program to an NP Program

My name is Ruth Handyside. I am a student at Daemen College, and I am looking for nurse practitioners to participate in my master’s thesis study.
If you are a nurse practitioner, who has one year or less of NP experience and have transitioned directly from an RN program to an NP program, you qualify for my study.
I am doing a research study on the lived experience of nurse practitioners who have transitioned directly from an RN program to an NP program. The purpose of this study is to explore what it was like for a nurse who transitioned directly from an RN program to an NP program. The purpose of my study is to obtain a holistic view of what your experience was like when you entered practice as a nurse practitioner.
If you would like to participate in my research study, I would be interviewing you and asking you to explain your experience in detail. This may require about an hour to an hour and a half of your time and I am willing to meet with you in a mutually agreed upon location that is convenient for you.

If you are interested please call Ruth Handyside (716) 713-1727 or e-mail rhandysi@daemen.edu

If you do not qualify for my study, but know someone who does, please pass this on to them!
